Mid-Year Checklist

1. Reflect

  • Revisit the goals you set at the beginning of the year.

  • Identify the three biggest wins from the first six months.

  • Identify the three biggest challenges that continue to slow progress.

  • Ask yourself: If I started my business today, what would I do differently?

2. Evaluate Your Time

  • Review your calendar from the last 30 days.

  • Identify recurring meetings that could be shortened, delegated, or eliminated.

  • Count how many hours you spent on administrative tasks instead of strategic work.

  • Block dedicated time each week for planning and business development.

3. Review Your Operations

  • Are your standard operating procedures documented and up to date?

  • Are there repetitive tasks that could be automated?

  • Are there bottlenecks where work consistently waits on one person?

  • Are projects moving efficiently between team members?

  • Are client communication and follow-up processes consistent?

4. Evaluate Delegation

  • List five tasks that someone else could own.

  • Identify work that only you can do versus work you’ve simply always done.

  • Determine where additional executive or administrative support would create the biggest impact.

  • Consider which responsibilities prevent you from focusing on growth.

5. Review Your Team

  • Does everyone understand their priorities and responsibilities?

  • Are there recurring questions that indicate unclear processes?

  • Is your team spending time on low-value tasks?

  • Are there opportunities to improve communication or accountability?

6. Prepare for the Second Half of the Year

  • Review Q3 and Q4 goals.

  • Identify the top three initiatives that will have the greatest impact.

  • Remove one process, meeting, or task that no longer serves your business.

  • Create a plan to protect your time for strategic work.

  • Schedule your next business review before the end of the quarter.

Your Mid-Year Reset Starts Now

The most successful businesses don’t grow because their leaders work more hours. They grow because they build systems that allow the right work to happen at the right time by the right people.

Use this Mid-Year reset as an opportunity to simplify, strengthen, and refocus your operations so the second half of the year is your strongest yet.
